Dynomatic was born from frustration. As a backend engineer working with DynamoDB every day, I found myself constantly switching between the AWS Console, CLI tools, and expensive third-party clients that still didn't fit my workflow. Many were abandoned, barely maintained, or built on outdated stacks heading toward end-of-life.

I wanted something better: a native desktop app that's fast, focused, and built specifically for how developers actually work with DynamoDB. No laggy web UIs, no subscription tiers gating basic features, and no compromises on AWS security best practices.

So I started building Dynomatic in early 2025. I'm taking inspiration from the best database clients out there, shipped in the open, and shaped by using it myself every day.
