What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to site owners.

How we use cookies

Dynomatic uses cookies and similar storage technologies (such as localStorage) to ensure our website and application function correctly. We use them for:

  • Authentication and security (session management, CSRF protection)
  • Remembering your interface preferences
  • Functionality and user experience improvements

Types of cookies we use

Essential cookies

Required for proper website and application function. These include session cookies for user authentication and CSRF tokens for security. They cannot be opted out of.

Functional storage

We use your browser's localStorage to remember interface preferences such as sidebar layout state. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Third-party cookies

Some external services may set cookies on our site when you interact with them. These third parties include:

  • Polar — payment and subscription processing

These third parties have their own privacy policies governing how they use the information they collect.

Managing cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can choose to block or delete cookies, though please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in and using Dynomatic. To clear localStorage data, use your browser's developer tools or clear site data settings.

Product analytics

We use PostHog, a third-party product analytics service, to understand how our website and application are used. PostHog sets and reads first-party cookies and localStorage to measure usage and interaction data such as pages viewed, navigation, clicks, and scroll depth, along with device and browser information and the referral or campaign source that brought you to us. This analytics traffic is routed through our own domain before it reaches PostHog.

We do not record your session (there is no screen or video replay), and we do not derive approximate location from your IP address.

You can opt out of analytics by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track in your browser. When either signal is present, we do not capture analytics events. You can review how PostHog processes data in PostHog's privacy policy.
