Welcome to Dynomatic. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle your personal data when you visit our website and use our desktop application, and outlines your privacy rights and legal protections.
Information we collect
Personal information
We collect the following personal information when you create an account:
- Name and email address
- Account credentials (passwords are hashed; OAuth tokens for Google/GitHub sign-in)
- Organization and team membership information
Payment and billing data (such as credit card details) is processed and stored by our payment provider, Polar. We only store subscription metadata such as your plan type, billing period, and subscription status.
Device & technical information
We automatically collect certain technical data when you use our services:
- IP address and user agent string (stored with your session for security purposes)
- Desktop application data: device name, platform (macOS/Windows/Linux), OS version, app version, and a device fingerprint used to manage your licensed device slots
Feedback
If you submit feedback through our app, we collect the message content, feedback type, category, and optionally a rating and email address.
How we use your information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Providing and maintaining our services, including account authentication and session management
- Managing your subscription and device licensing
- Communicating with you about your account or service changes
- Improving our services based on feedback you submit
- Complying with legal obligations
- Protecting against fraud and abuse through rate limiting, device fingerprinting, and CSRF protection
Information sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties, except in the following circumstances:

- To trusted service providers who assist us in operating our services — currently this includes Polar (payment processing), PostHog (product analytics), and, when you sign in via OAuth, Google or GitHub

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Product analytics and tracking
What we collect
We use PostHog, a third-party product analytics processor, to understand how our website and application are used. Through PostHog we collect:
- Usage and interaction data, including pages viewed, navigation, clicks, and scroll depth, both on our marketing site and within the signed-in application
- Device and browser information, such as browser type, operating system, and screen size
- Referral and campaign source, such as the referring site and UTM parameters
How it is handled
Analytics requests are routed through our own domain before reaching PostHog. We do not record your session (there is no screen or video replay), we do not derive approximate location from your IP address, and we do not sell this data. You can review how PostHog processes data in PostHog's privacy policy.
Your choices
You can opt out of analytics collection by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track in your browser; when either signal is present, we do not capture analytics events. Some transactional events, such as a completed or canceled subscription, are sent from our servers to keep billing and account records accurate and are therefore not affected by a browser-level opt-out.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the “Last updated” date revised accordingly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
