Account and licensing

Dynomatic runs on three plans, Free, Pro, and Team. Paid plans include every feature, so the difference between Pro and Team is seats and billing, not capability. You do not need an account to start.

Start the free trial

Download the app and use it. The 14-day trial needs no account and no credit card, and every feature is available while it runs. The trial is registered against the device, and asking for it twice on the same machine does not restart the clock.

A trial pill in the status bar shows the days left. When the trial ends, an upgrade dialog appears and privileged sessions are disconnected. The exception is Sample mode, which keeps running at full capability on an expired trial.

Sign in

Signing in hands off to your browser, which returns an encrypted session over a dynomatic:// deep link. The session token is stored in the OS keychain, falling back to an encrypted database when no keychain is available. Dynomatic re-verifies the session every 24 hours.

The user menu at the bottom of the left rail shows your avatar, organization and role, current plan, device count, and links out to manage your account. Owners also see the next billing date. Sign out from the same menu.

What each plan includes

The pricing page is the source of truth for prices and seat counts. Here is what each plan does inside the app.

Free is a first look. You get table browsing and key-condition querying on any number of basic AWS profiles, inline item editing with the item JSON editor, read-only table schemas, import and export of up to 25 rows, and 2 open tabs.

Pro is for solo developers and includes everything. Filter expressions, pending-changes review, environment classification, schema-aware query, scripting, streams, PartiQL, command history, saved queries and favorites, bulk actions, table management, and S3 export, with unlimited profiles, tabs, and import and export rows, plus MFA, SSO, and AWS Login profiles.

Team is everything in Pro, sold per seat with a 3-seat minimum. Seats belong to the organization rather than to a person, so when someone leaves you reassign their seat from the organization dashboard.

How gating behaves

A gated feature does not disappear. It degrades to an upgrade prompt naming the feature. Deletes stay ungated everywhere, so a downgraded account can always clean up data it created while entitled.

Experimental features carry a third condition. They need a paid plan, a local toggle in Settings under Experimental, and they can be turned off remotely.

Tip: To try a gated feature without buying anything, enter Sample mode. Every gate is lifted for the duration of the session, on any plan.
